Just a quicker reminder about tonight’s County Council Meeting @ 6pm. On the agenda for tonight; Cecilia Tadt will speak to our group about parliamentary procedure and Rich Chuvala will speak about 4-H Awards and Incentives. We will also discuss our upcoming 4-H County Achievement Night and overnight camp out. See you everyone tonight!!
It might seem early but NOW is the time to reserve your spot for 4-H summer camp.
Gaston County 4-H will be attending summer 4-H camp the week of June 26-July 1, 2016 at Betsy Jeff-Penn 4-H Camping Center in Reidsville, NC. Summer camp is available for any youth between the ages of 8-12 for regular camp and 13-14 for the Trekker camping program which includes off site adventures.
The cost for a week of Traditional Camp and Adventure Camp is $420.00. A week of Trekker Camp costs $440.00. Each camper is required to pay a deposit of $50.00 by March 4th. Rich Chuvala, Gaston County 4-H Agent, will be attending as a chaperone for our county’s campers and is available to help answer any questions you might have about the camp.

Tomorrow evening at 6pm will be our next 4-H County Council meeting. We will be holding elections so those of you who are planning to run please bring your officer application and be prepared to give a short speech/skit as to why you are the best candidate for that position. We have also decided to do the Christmas Toy Drive at the women’s shelter in Gastonia. Please bring a toy for either a boy or a girl between today and December 21st. Holiday Craft Workshop- Come join in on the fun and begin your holiday shopping early at
this workshop on Wednesday, November 25th, from 9 am—2 pm at the Citizen Resource Center.
Limited to first 25 participants, ages 5—up. Each participant will make and wrap gifts for friends

All area youth, ages 5-19, and their parents interested in 4-H Livestock Projects or showing are invited to the organizational meeting of a new 4-H Livestock Club. Potential livestock projects include meat goat, cattle, sheep,
market hog and backyard rabbit.
